Trainings and inspirations

Inspiring learning opportunities.

After two years of on and off isolation and social distancing due to the pandemic, life is returning to normal and our teams have started having training and supervision again. Over the past two months our employees have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of in-person training:

  • The managers of our centers in the town of Kazanlak participated in a training on “Complementary and Alternative Communication” organized by the Resource Center, Stara Zagora. The new knowledge and skills will be of great help in working with non-verbal children and young adults.
  • Thanks to Eng. Slavi Pachalov and his company “Pachalov” Ltd. a free training in first aid and assistance was provided for our colleagues from our service centers in the town of Kazanlak.
  • The newest member of our fundraising and communications team, Kiril, participated in the 6-day NGO Summer School, which the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-Profit Law organized for the 10th consecutive year for young people starting their careers in the civil sector.
  • The most exciting training was for three girls from our Small Group Homes. They, together with their chaperones, took part in a three-day workshop on personal boundaries. It was organized by the association “Inspire Bulgaria” and is a component of their project “Invisible Lines”. During the seminar, the girls had the opportunity to talk about the boundaries of the body, relationships, emotions and behavior, as well as to meet girls from Small Group Homes from Dragoman and Samokov. The topic of personal boundaries is extremely important for the young people who are about to leave care, but also for those with disabilities and the people who care for them. Establishing healthy boundaries is very important for social workers who work with vulnerable groups of people.

Training is a very important element in improving our services and taking
care of our employees. We believe that investing in the people who work in the field, as well as every other member of our team, helps us to better fulfill our core mission of caring for people
