First victories on the road to independent living

Kaloyan* and Iveta*, whom we told you about at the beginning of the summer, are already celebrating their first achievements on the road to independent living with the support of the New Opportunities for a Successful Future project, funded by Address for 30 Young People program of the real estate company Address and BCause Foundation.

Recently, Kaloyan successfully passed the final exam of the course in classical massage and spa therapies and now has his first professional certificate. He proudly shows it to his friends and talks enthusiastically about what he has learned. He will soon celebrate his birthday and believes that the best years of his life are yet to come. His certificate gives him the confidence to take the next steps towards his dream profession.

Iveta also continues to move forward with new success stories. After completing her secondary education, she focused on applying to university and has already been accepted at Sofia University, Burgas Campus, to study Methodology of Japanese Language Teaching. Japanese language and culture have been her passion for years, and her admission to the desired major is a great achievement. Meanwhile, she has completed a first aid course and is now about to finish her driving lessons and take her driving test – steps that will give her even more independence and confidence.

The stories of Kaloyan and Iveta show that when young people are given a chance and support, they discover their strengths and are ready to build their future. Through the program, young people not only develop important skills, but also gain the feeling that they can embark on the path to independent living on their own.

For the second consecutive year, the Cedar Foundation is among the organizations that, thanks to Address Real Estate and BCause Foundation, provide this opportunity to young people deprived of parental care and show that the investment in their development is an investment in a future full of opportunities.
