A magical encounter with magicians from all over the world was experienced by the children and young people from our family homes in Kazanlak. Days after the event, they continue to talk with excitement about this unforgettable experience and with a great deal of persistence try to unravel the magic tricks they saw.
They were invited to be guests of the biggest magic festival in the Balkans “Golden Cat” and had the opportunity to watch the performances of the magicians from the front row. This happened thanks to the organizers of the Magic Meeting “Golden Cat” and our board members – Stefan Vartolomeev and Kristiyan Shahinyan, who covered the costs of the trip and the stay of the children and our team in the city.
“We are grateful for the opportunity. The children were very impressed and amazed by the skills of the magicians. Their attention was engaged throughout and their eyes were glowing with excitement. Wheelchair users had been thought of too and they felt very comfortable there. This was the first experience like this for our children and I can see how positively the contact with magic affected them. They left Gabrovo charged and very happy, and that makes us happy too.“, said Neli Boneva, manager of the family-type centres in Kazanlak.
The visit to the festival was part of a two-day excursion to the city of humour and satire. Children and young people had the opportunity to walk around the city and the region, play outside and have fun, even petting horses at a nearby horse riding centre.
