Alex from our team was a lecturer in a fundraising training within the INSPIRE project

With enthusiasm and excitement, Alex, our Fundraising and Communications expert, took part as a speaker in the fundraising training within the INSPIRE project. The event, organised by the National Network for Children, brought together motivated representatives of civil society organisations from across the country working to protect children from violence and to promote prevention and effective support mechanisms.

During the training, the participants were introduced to different fundraising mechanisms, both from individual and corporate donors. Even more valuable was the sharing of practical experience. Alexandra, together with part of the organisers’ team, presented successful strategies and approaches that the teams of both organisations have developed and implemented over the years. Antonia Popova from For Our Children Foundation also took part in the training, telling more about the best practices from her professional experience in the field.

Discussions and practical exercises made the training not just informative but truly useful for all participants. And the exchange of ideas gave them new perspectives and confidence in applying what they had learned.

This experience was very inspiring for us. Meeting such motivated people, committed to causes that improve society, gave us new ideas and energy. We believe that sharing knowledge is the key to developing a strong civil society, and we are proud to be able to contribute to this.

By the end of 2026, the National Network for Children will implement an additional mentoring program for the participants of the training, with the aim of strengthening the capacity and provide methodological support to the organizations on the topics – creating a communication strategy, advocacy strategy, organizational capacity building, fundraising support, etc.

We hope to have the opportunity to engage in more future project initiatives! 🙂

The INSPIRE project is a joint initiative of the Foundation “Workshop for Civic Initiatives” and the National Network for Children, which aims to strengthen the integrated child protection system in Bulgaria. The project focuses on prevention and intervention in violence against children, providing support to organisations working in this field and creating opportunities for capacity building in their work.
