On May 31st one of the young men from Cedar Foundation’s family type houses in Kazanlak celebrated his graduation ball with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria – Rumen Radev.

The Ball is organized for the 6th consecutive year under the initiative “Support a Dream” and aims to encourage young people to study and work, acquire additional qualifications and advance their education. Lazar was one of 124 young people who were supported by the presidential institution and had the opportunity to celebrate their graduation in such a memorable manner.

Rumen Radev welcomed the graduates to the presidency and said he was extremely excited to welcome so many young people to the Coat of Arms Hall. “Do not become part of those young people who neither study nor work, nor do they have the desire for additional professional qualifications.” – was the President’s advice to them.

Later on, the event continued in Sofia Hotel Balkan with the prom, where the young people had the opportunity to meet many of their musical idols. Some of the artists who supported the initiative were Ostava, Poly Genova, Michaela Fileva, Santra, Dicho and others. An interesting part of the program was also the comic show of “The Comedians”- a popular Bulgarian TV show, which made the evening even more memorable for Lazar.

The event is organized under the “Support a Dream” initiative, which helps young people with disabilities to successfully complete their secondary education. So far the initiative has raised 60 000 leva, part of which will be provided to support the graduates. Within the initiative, the young people also receive coaching and information about opportunities for personal and professional development, according to their interests and needs.
