New car – more opportunities for social inclusion

Before buying a new car, everyone dreams of the places he will visit with it and the new opportunities that will open up for him. This is exactly how we feel about the car we are about to purchase for our family-type centres in Kazanlak, thanks to funding from the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

Our family-type houses in the town are home to nearly 50 disadvantaged children and young people, many of them with physical and intellectual disabilities. The vehicle will help their social inclusion and allow them to travel easily and comfortably to a variety of activities outside the houses.

These activities include visits to the school in the village of Maglizh, day care centres and other services, visits to the doctor or dentist, admission to a hospital facility, and daily shopping for the needs of the children and youth.

And what everyone is most excited about is its use during regular out-of-town trips and camps – always eagerly anticipated.

The funds for the purchase of a new unused car, amounting to BGN 48 000, were provided by the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy under Component 1 “Acquisition of long-term assets, maintenance of the material base; construction of new, reconstruction and modernization of the existing material base for the provision of social services”.
