Around the World in a Day supported Cedar’s cause for the 5th consecutive year

On June 11th Hilton Sofia hosted the charity event „Around the World in a Day“, which for the 5th consecutive year supported The Cedar Foundation’s cause. The event was organized for the tenth time together with DM Thomas Foundation for Young People and brought together schools, children institutions, Hilton hotels, businesses and supporters from across Europe.

The bad weather on Sunday did not stop the participants’ desire to tour the world for a day. Hilton Sofia welcomed their friends, families and citizens at Sofia South Park, where they took part in interesting events and games to help collect kilometers, enough at least for one tour of the globe, and to raise funds for the young adults in need, supported by The Cedar Foundation.

This year, the amount, raised during the event will be invested in providing regular speech therapies for the children and young people with severe disabilities in the our falimy-houses in Kyustendil and Kazanlak. The speech therapy costs 900 BGN per month or 10800 BGN per year and gives them the opportunity to communicate, develop and integrate in the society.

Special guests of Around the World in a Day were the children and young people from Kyustendil who took part in all the fun games during the day – the rand, rode a bicycle and took part in all the games, organized by the animators of Wonder Group.
