Gorna Kosnitza |
After visiting the orphanage for special needs children in Gorna Kosnitza, there was a very apparent need for help. Gorna Kosnitza is a remote village about one and a half hours from Sofia and half an hour from Kustendil, the location of the institution limits the facilities available to the children such as doctors, therapy and qualified staff.

| Project Stara Zagora |
Since January 2008, the Cedar Foundation has provided a resource teacher for five deaf and hard of hearing children who were moved from the Maglij School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to the Homes for Abandoned Children “Bulgarka” and “Teofano-Popova” in the city of Stara Zagora in the 2006-2007 school year.
