Daycare centre Kazanlak
Daycare center Kazanlak for children with special needs is a municipal facility with the capacity to provide services for 36 children. The Cedar Foundation has been supporting the work of the Centre since 2009 by:
- Providing staff training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Ability Basic Assessment (ABA), Positive Parenthood, Managing Challenging Behaviour and other topics.
- Conduction of professional exchange programmes with partner organizations from the United Kingdom. A positive result of the exchange carried out in May 2011 is the creation of a sensory room in the Daycare center Kazanlak. This initiative is based on the experience obtained during the visits to the English facilities providing daily care for children with special needs.
- Providing materials and equipment necessary for the work with the children attending the Daycare center Kazanlak.
