On 23 October was held the 13th edition of the traditional Murphy’s Misfits Charity Touch Rugby Tournament.
The organizers once again supported The Cedar Foundation’s cause. This year’s motto of the tournament – Knowledge is Power aimed to provide better education to the disadvantaged teenagers living in one of The Cedar Foundation’s family-type houses in Kazanlak.
In the event participated 6 teams – a total of 36 contestants, part of which were some of the teenagers that Cedar supports. All participants played fair, invested a lot of enthusiasm and fought purposefully for the win.
“Together with Murphy’s Misfits believe that knowledge is power! With the motto we call upon our children to study harder and achieve better results at school, as they did today with the rugby tournament. I believe that the participation was an exciting experience for them, which they did very well and will not forget”, – said the executive director of The Cedar Foundation Alexandrina Dimitrova.
During the rugby tournament were collected nearly 2,500 BGN, which will be invested in private lessons and teaching materials for the youngsters in order to improve their school performance.
