Volunteers
How te be a volunteer:
The Cedar Foundation offers many types of volunteer opportunities.
Our volunteers have done everything from fund raising to painting new cribs, to remodeling rooms. We have volunteers who work directly with orphans, and volunteers who work abroad to help raise awareness, finance projects, and provide equipment. The most important requirement to become a part of the Cedar team is a warm heart. Other than that, an updated CV, personal and professional references, as well as a recent police background check are also necessary before volunteers can begin their work. If you would like to volunteer for The Cedar Foundation or learn how you can help, please contact Jeni at cedarfoundationbg@gmail.com.

„I was amazed by the difference that Cedar Foundation and the other volunteers had made...” |
„I spent just over two months working alongside the Cedar Foundation at Gorna Koznitza and have to say the time I spent with the residents there was possibly one of the best experiences I could have wished for. The difference in the institution is unbelievable and having returned to Bulgaria just before Christmas I was amazed by the difference that Cedar Foundation and the other volunteers had made.” |

„Volunteering with the Cedar Foundation was a remarkable experience...” |
„Volunteering with the Cedar Foundation was a remarkable experience. Working in the Buzovgrad home for children opened my eyes to the plight of Bulgarian orphans and institutionalized individuals. It helped me to associate REAL people with this very real problem. I remain forever grateful to have the chance to do my 'little' part and strongly encourage and ask others to do the same. The rewards are immeasurable - both in the life of the volunteer and the individual served.” |
