Phones 4 Homes

Phones 4 Homes is the official name of our campaign to collect and recycle old, used cellular phones and batteries.  We have a partnering company in Ireland that pays us per phone we give them for recycling.

We then take the funds they give us and apply them to Cedar projects and upkeep.

This campaign is excellent for numerous reasons.  One, most people have a cell phone (or two, or three) that they are no longer using.  This makes collecting used cellular phones fairly simple.  Two, our partner company who recycles the phones gives us money to help the disabled orphans of Bulgaria.  Three, it is good for the environment!!!  Old cell phones, when disposed of improperly can be devastating to sensitive ecosystems.  Four, it sustains itself and most people have a new cell phone every year.  So instead of letting people throw their old phones away, recycle them and help out those who can’t help themselves.

You can talk to your neighbors, your family, your co-workers, the companies that your parents work for, your place of worship, and collect their old cellular phones!  Also, talk to your schools.  Put a simple cardboard box in each classroom and ask your classmates to put in their old phones.  Make it a contest and give the class that collects the most phones in a month a pizza party.  Or, make it a competition between your school and a rival school.  Make it as big as you can!!!

When you have collected your phones, we will help you ship them to our EU licensed recycler in Ireland.  Or, ship them directly to our office in Bulgaria at:

It’s easy, it helps the orphans, and it helps the environment!
